What are the most common injuries in Weightlifting?
There are few acute injuries in weightlifting. Injuries most often occur in connection with overloading due to excessive training volume and intensity in combination with insufficient rest and sleep. Incorrect lifting technique is another factor that increases the risk of injury. For weightlifters, the knees, shoulders and lower back are the most common areas where pain and injury can occur. In some cases, fatigue fractures in the back can also occur.
