Ice hockey

Do you know the most common injuries in ice-hockey??

Despite ice hockey being a rough sport, relatively few serious injuries are seen. The most common acute injuries in ice-hockey occur through body contact or when the puck hits the body.

In addition, concussions can occur in the event of a fall or impact to the head, and all head injuries must therefore be examined to see if the player has suffered a concussion.

A fall on the arm or shoulder can damage the joints in the shoulder. Twisting of the knees and wrists can also occur. Facial injuries become more common as players get older and begin to play without a full face shield.

Repetitive strain injuries in ice hockey can occur due to repetitive movements and strain. Ice hockey players most often experience pain in the groin, knees and lower back.
