Throws, tackles, sprints, sudden changes of directions, jumps and landings – in handball there are many situations where you can get injured. Read about the most common injuries below.

High loads are placed on the shoulder in handball. Repeated passes and throws increases the risk of overuse injury. The shoulder needs to have strength, stability and extreme mobility at the same time.

Other body parts can also sustain an injury. Many handball players injure their knee, ankle and back. Ankle sprains are common, every handball player can expect at least one during their playing career.
